Lymphatic Pain

I have a pain in my lymph node area... near my throat. It hurts to swallow, so I'm trying to not swallow, and instead just spit. I figure this is a way of my body telling, that I shouldn't be swallowing. I'm spitting into a cup, and I see the saliva begin to separate; one part is clear and the other is white and cloudy. I'm salivating quite a lot, maybe my body wants to get rid of the "badness" in my throat, it just want it to continue down into the rest of my body.
